A: A Hall‑effect flow meter operates based on the Hall effect: as water flows, it drives a magnetized impeller to rotate, causing the magnetic field to oscillate periodically. The Hall sensor then generates pulse signals, which are counted by the microcontroller to calculate the water flow rate. Models with food‑grade wetted parts can be used in coffee machines and water dispensers to enable precise water‑volume measurement.
